<p>In a Wehnelt cathode, the cathode mounted on a dielectric disc (2) is pressed by a compression spring (10) against a support in the Wehnelt cylinder base (4). The compression spring (10) is a component of a two-part spring system (6), the second spring element of which has spring tongues (7) with tabs (8) which engage in cut-outs (9) in the cylinder wall and fix the position of the compression spring and hence of the dielectric disc (2). <IMAGE></p> |
