<p>PURPOSE:To prevent plugging of a moving sheet perfectly by a method wherein a sheet can always be received in a tray at the final stage even when the sheet cannot be received in other trays by any sheet turning members due to an unexpected accident during conveyance of the sheet into a sorter. CONSTITUTION:With a sheet member received in the n-th tray 11, this condition is detected by a photosensors 26, and driving cams for operating turning members 12 for turning and guiding the sheet member are sequentially moved under control. The sheet member is carried in by operating the next sheet turning member selected. The final-stage sheet turning member 12k is so fixed as to guide the sheet member into the final-stage tray 11k irrespective of the action of the phototsensor 26 and the driving cams. The sheet member is guided into the final stage tray 11k by such control as to stop the driving cams without operating the sheet turning members 12.</p> |
