<p>Benzodiozane derivs of formula (I) are new. (where either (a) R1 is OH, in which case R is 8-acetamido and R2 is 4-Cl, 4-F, 2-Me or 2-MeO, or R is 6-acetamido and R2 is 2-MeO, or R is 8-CONHMe and R2 is 4-F or 2-MeO, or R is 8-NHCONHMe and R2 is 2-Me, or (b) R1 is H, in which case R is 8-acetyl and R2 is H, or R is 8-acetamido and R2 is 2-MeO. (I) have antihypertensive and peripheral vasodilatory activity with a relatively high therapeutic index and low tachycardiac activity.</p> |
