PURPOSE:To prevent an outer ring of the bearing from creeping, protect a grease in the bearing from leaking and improve a workability for the assembly, by providing O-ring that closely makes a contact with three faces, the peripheral face of the bearing outer ring, the inner face of a housing and the inner face of a cap. CONSTITUTION:The bearing device is constructed as follows. The inner ring 12a of a ball bearing 12 that supports a rotary shaft 11 is press-fitted to the rotary shaft 11 and an outer ring 12b is engaged to at a degree of clearance enough for touching the inner face of a housing 13 that partially forms a bearing box. While a cap 15 that closes the bearing box is installed to a side end of the housing 13 by a bolt 16 with a grease sump 17 provided within its inner face. Here on the housing 13 at a mounting face of the cap 15, a ring-shaped groove 18 that opens toward said mounting face and the outer ring 12b is drilled. An O-ring 14 is put into the interior of said groove. Thus the O-ring 14 is closely attached to the three of a peripheral face of the outer ring 12b, inner faces of the housing 13 and the cap 15.
