<p>PURPOSE:To improve the work efficiency, by laying a heat-insulating material under a lower portion of a tank, laying on the ground a heat-insulating material on the top and side of the tank, bringing the bottom of the tank into contact with a heat-insulating material on the top and side of the tank and thereafter completing the heat insulation of the overlapped parts of both of the heat-insulating materials. CONSTITUTION:Hull-side support blocks 5 and a heat-insulating material 4 corresponding to the bottom of a tank are laid on a bottom wall 3 of a ship. The tank 6 is constructed on the ground. A heat-insulating material 7 is laid on the top and side walls of the tank 6. Tank-side support blocks 8 and tank-side upper chocks 10 are further mounted. The tank 6 is then placed in a hold 2. The tank-side support blocks 8 are engaged with the hull-side support blocks 5. A clearance 11 is defined between the tank 6 and the hull-side heat-insulating material 4. The heat insulation of the overlapped parts 12 of both the heat-insulating materials 4, 7 is completed. Hull-side lateral chocks 13 and upper chocks 16 are mounted. Since the manufacture and heat insulation work of the tank is effected at a wide place, the work is safe and easy.</p> |
