PURPOSE:To obtain a double layer molded article without deforming the projection and eliminating the burr produced at the outer shell within the groove by a method wherein the circumferential edge of the inner shell projection made of the thermosetting resin is provided with a groove, and the groove root thereof is formed with the recess depressed by the inner face of the outer shell made of the thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:The inner shell 1 of a thermosetting plastic is enclosed with the outer shell 2 of thermoplastic plastic, the circumferential edge of the projection 3 exposed to the outside of the inner shell 1 being provided with the groove 4 which is not covered with the outer shell 2, the root of the groove 4 forming the recess 5 depressed by the inner face of the outer shell 2, and double layer molding being formed to produce the casing for the wiring appliance such as a plug socket. On working the secondary molding to cover the outer shell 2 of the thermoplastic plastic before hardening the inner shell 1, the molding is manufactured by compressing to depress the circumferential edge of the projection 3 of the inner shell 1 with the groove molding projection 7 of the secondary mold 6. |
