The carrier is intended for holding a number of cans with projecting annular top rims, such as canned food or drink. The cans are arranged side by side in pairs with their lids in a common plane and a flat, rigid carrier frame (1) placed between the pairs so that the rims of each pair engage grooves (6) in semi-circular concave recesses (5) on both sides of the frame. The assembly of cans so formed is held together by a resilient strap around the outside of the rims. This strap may be grooved on the inside to engage the said outsides of the rims.
