The operating system for an arrangement for converting wind power into electrical power, uses an electric generator which supplies a number of outlets by means of a switching system. The switching in and out operations are carried out serially at selected intervals which may be initiated by control signals corresponding to vane positions so as to ensure a constant speed of rotation. The generator frequency can be used as a base to control the switching cycle. Alternatively, the generator voltage or the vane position can be used. The frequency operates a frequency to voltage converter which generates a control signal proportional to frequency or voltage between given limits.
