<p>PURPOSE:To suppress block noise and to improve picture quality at reproduction by varying the location of coded block of the three primary signals (such as RGB) and coding each signal. CONSTITUTION:Conventional block coding is applied to R data and block coding is applied to G and B data while deviating the block location. Since the deviation of RGB blocks is featured, the coded block of G data is a block deviated by one dot longitudinally and laterally from the R data block. A data not forming a 4X4 block is selected by using Ia, Id in the nearest block where Ia, Id are obtained already. The B data is coded to form a block at a location deviated by one bit longitudinally and laterally further from the R data block and the similar coding to the G data is applied. In the application of coding in this way, the data is decoded to reconstitute the picture, the block noise is reduced to improve the picture quality.</p> |
