The guide is for medical instruments inserted for examination and treatment purposes in body cavities. It has two guide tubes telescoping together, and a control aperture at the distal end, at a variable angle to the lengthwise axis, and of variable cross-section. The tubes can be chamfered at their distal ends in opposite directon, the outer one being bent at an angle to the lengthwise axis. Each can have a grip at the proximal end, a spring being fitted between the grips.
