The drive mechanism has a device to draw the cassette in by means of the drive motor. An ejection device ejects the cassette. A gear wheel is used for drawing the cassette in and engages teh toothed rack of a slide to which the cassette is fixed. A reverse drive is provided which can be switched into force transfer from the gear drawing the cassette in. the reverse drive comprises two screws and a gear wheel. A third screw is in constant contact with one of the reverse drive's screws. The other screw of the reverse drive has a pivoted lever operated by a solenoid.
