TV game transmission system uses digital t.d.m and a central TV and processor and TV receiver controlled by several remote players. A digital signal synchronisation and protocol ensures recognition of the correct commands and information for each individual player unit which may be of a different type and in a different state of play to the others. The TV receiver recognises synchronisation pulses denoting the start of instructions, instructions at predetermined time intervals and a closing synchronisation pulse sequence. Each player unit has, in addn. to the game play keyboard, controls for the operation of the TV receiver, e.g. contrast. Players transmit multiplexed signals according to a time code to the TV receiver and these control signals are modulated onto a carrier in the infrared band. |
