<p>Solar heat collector consists of a structure enclosing a system of tubes for a heat carrier medium, with a transparent cover and a heat insulating base. The base also includes a heat storage element which has a rising thermal conductivity as the temp. rises. This heat storage element consists of a totally enclosed container contg. a material which melts when the temp. rises. A pref. material is paraffin. Under mormal circumstances it is not affected by the solar heat directly. When the flow of the heat carrier medium is interrupted and the temp. rises, the melting paraffin acts as a safety valve and prevents an excessive temp. rise.</p> |
