<p>Platform structures or lamp standards are carried by individual carriages, or by a number of similar carriages joined together. An air cushion device, or more than one (3-6) is mounted on the platform carriage (1) which is equipped with connection pieces (11, 12) for movable supply ducts for providing compressed air. The cushion assembly may generate an air film between a flat base surface and a flat out flow surface. This permits easy and quick movement of platforms under heavy loading.</p> |
