Wind sifter with vertical axis and incoming air current - has two sifting zones ensuring more accurate sorting of fine material

The wind sifter has a vertical axis where the material to be sifted is set in rotation by a centrifugal wheel whilst the sifting current runs in from the outside in the middle. The sifter is divided into a first sifting zone for the large particles which extends out from the middle and is defined by conical walls which rotate with the wheel, and a second sifting zone for the finer particles which extends in from the middle in the form of a blade wheel which rotates with the centrifugal wheel and has flow channels defined axially on both sides. The axial width of the first zone decreases towards the outside and now neither fine material can pass near the walls to the large particle side nor can course particles pass to the fine material side.
