<p>An electrical terminal stamped and formed from a single piece of sheet metal and comprising a socket portion for receiving an electrical lead, the socket portion being in the form of a tube having one end for receipt of the electrical lead, includes a contact spring which is reversely bent within the socket portion thereby to be substantially U-shaped with a free end portion extending towards the one end of the socket portion, the wall of the socket portion being formed with an inwardly directed protection which together with a free end portion of the contact spring defines a lead-receiving and gripping neck within the socket portion.</p> |
