<p>An Improved monitoring device for measuring the amount of a selected component, e,g., environmental contaminant in a fluid mixture is disclosed. The improvement comprises forming the walls of the device so that the molecules diffusing into the device converge or diverge between the entrance and the collecting layer. This allows for control of sensitivity. Multi-cell devices wherein sensitivity varies from cell to cell are also disclosed.</p> |
