PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber stopper for masking adequate for an automatic masking operation by providing a head part of the diameter larger than the diameter of a tapered main body part integrally to the upper part of said main body part via a short cylindrical part and providing a recess to be engaged with the tip of a revolving bit atop this head part. CONSTITUTION:The short cylindrical part 3 is provided integrally to the upper part of the tapered main body part 1 consisting of, for example, neoprene rubber, etc. The recess 4 of, for example, a cruciform shape, to be engaged with the tip of the revolving bit is provided atop this head part 3 to form the rubber stopper for masking. Since the large-diameter head part 3 is provided to this rubber stopper, the rubber stopper is easy to be mechanically gripped and easily prevents misalignment and deformation. Further, the recess 4 engages with the tip of the revolving bit and, therefore, the rubber stopper can be pushed into the hole not only by merely pressing the same into the hole of the work but by rotating the stopper as well. Namely, this rubber stopper for masking is adequate for the automatic masking operation. |
