<p>A thermally crosslinkable plastisol mastic for bonding articles at least one of which is based on thermoplastic material (I), partic. polycarbonate, contain 1-5, pref. 1.5-2.5 wt. % (I) of mean particle size 350, pref. 50-300 mu. Pref. for a given granulometry G, the (I) powder content satisfies the equation G =200 (T-1), G being expressed as mu and T in %. Used partic. for bonding parts of vehicle headlamps. Migration of the mastic constituents into the thermoplastic material to be bonded does not occur, partic. into the polycarbonate when subjected to tensile or shear stresses the bond undergoes cohesive failure, i.e. not interfacial or adhesive failure.</p> |
