The reel comprises a housing with a spindle driven axially to and fro and accommodating a spool on which the line is coiled. A drum rotates on the spindle between housing and spool and is rotated by a drive. A line-guiding component pivots on the drum against spring action, and is coupled to a hinging lever working against a thickened portion of the housing, so as to keep the component in the guiding position for the line. The component (24) hinges on the outside of the housing (1) and is coupled to a hinging lever inside the latter via a toothed sector (27) integral with it, engaging with another sector integral with the lever. A spring is attached to the latter inside the housing.
