The invention relates to a unit constituted by several valve banks, comprising a pump (10, 23, 35), a receiver (55, 69, 82), pipes (9, etc.) connecting the pump to the control valve, and connecting pipes (58, etc.) connecting the receiver to the control valve, the first and second positions of the control valve corresponding to creating a communication between the primary supply pipe (9) and the connecting pipe (58), and to blocking the connecting pipe. A first valve bank comprises first and second by-passes (12, 13) connecting the primary supply pipe (9) to the control valve and the control valve to a collector pipe (14), the first and second positions of the said control valve corresponding to blocking the two by- passes and to creating a communication between them, whereas a second valve bank comprises a secondary supply pipe (25) connecting the primary supply pipe (22), of the second valve bank to the collector pipe (14), and in which is arranged a non-return valve (26). At least one of the valve banks constitutes both a first and second bank (provision of 60, 61; provision of 74, 75). One application of the invention is found in the production of an energy- saving fluid distribution unit.
