<p>Stabilisation system for road vehicles wherein the vehicle is fitted with at least one load compensator device (61, 62, 63, 64) which is located so as to be capable of assisting the suspension of the vehicle, said device being connected to a source (73) of pneumatic or hydraulic pressure fluid via valve means (74) and being normally in an inoperative condition. The stabilisation system includes operating means (76) for actuating the valve means to cause pneumatic or hydraulic pressure to be applied to the device or devices whereby the devices assist the vehicle"s suspension and reduce its tendency to roll during motion. The invention includes both the stabilisation system per se and road vehicles fitted with the system. </p> |
