Hammer crusher for comminuting solid material - has rotor with pivoted impact elements supported in staggered pattern by circular ribs

The rotor of the hammer crusher has a hollow shaft (3) on which a number of circular ribs (2) are fitted at given a axial intervals. Between two adjacent circular ribs (2) impact elements (5) are fitted on axles (6) penetrating opposite holes in the circular ribs. One end of each axle is secured by a lock washer while the other end has a head. To remove the axle when the impact elements have to be replaced a sufficiently large opening is provided on the rib (2) adjacent to the head-carrying rib. The circumferential interals (4) between two impact elements are arranged in such a way that a staggered patterns results between two axially adjacent sets of elements (5).
