The resilient intermediate layer which preferably has the same thickness over the entire heel cross-section is fastened to an upper and lower bearing face (8, 11) which have opposing first and second sections of which the first sections (9, 12) run inclined from top to bottom and the second sections (10, 13) are inclined the other way, seen from the walking direction. Now when the heel is set down on the rear edge the resulting force which would push the lower part of the heel forwards is now stopped by the interacting first sections (9, 12).
