<p>The expanding plug fixture comprises an expandable slotted (3) sleeve (1), a conical (9) nut (5) and an anchor bolt (7) which extends through the sleeve and screws into the nut. The nut is so formed (13, 11) relative to the sleeve and/or vice versa that is produces a clamping action between them due to the radial spring characteristics of one and/or the other. The nut may have a cylindrical portion (13) axially projecting beyond its conical outer surface (9). This portion (13) may be tubular and project from the narrow end of the nut. It may be without internal screw thread and may have a chamfered end (15) for inserting the bolt.</p> |
