<p>The circuit is based on ring counters or shift registers and using specific pulses in the continuous pulse format to give control and provide the required outputs. The outputs are short circuit protected and a multi housing construction is used for the control unit so that units can be added as the complexity and requirement of the model layout increases. All housings can be fixed to the main so that the control is integrated. A primary ring counter/shift register circuit constitutes the main control, with flip-flop peripheral and add-on units, some more complex add-on units also use ring counter circuitry. Indicator lamps and sufficient output power to operate magnetically controlled items have also been included. A ring counter is on the output of a pulse generator and cross-connected through to its own output field. Blocking inputs and feedback inputs are also provided. The add-on output circuits are provided with LED indicators.</p> |
