PURPOSE:To prevent the frosting of the mold, ease coating work and further achieve the unattended casting operation by containing the equipment for performing molding and mating of the frozen molds within the hermetic segment chamber, introducing robots, etc. to cryogenic work and yet maintaining the inside of the segment chambers in a dry state. CONSTITUTION:The casting device 1 is constituted by a sand feed part 2, molding part 3, mold- freezing and mating part 4, pouring part 5, product-and-sand-separating part 6, conveyor part 7 and an automated part 8 which subsequently continues these by the closed curved form conveying path. Further, a product finishing part 9 is provided in continuation to the separating part 6. Water 12 is added to recovered sand 81 and fresh sand 10 and is kneaded 14. The mixture is stored in a storage tank 22. Next, a wooden pattern 24 is put in a mold 23 and the molding sand of the tank 22 is charged, after which molding is done while giving vibrations with a molding machine 27. The mold 23 and core pattern 28 are put in a mold refrigerating machine 33 and are refrigerated by liquefied N2, after which they are fixed in the positions 34, 35. Next, the wooden pattern 24 is removed by mating 36 and the core is contained. The mated mold 73 is then fixed. The above-mentioned mold freezing and mating works are remote-operated by the mating machine 36 and elevating machine 38 within the segment chamber 32 of a low-temperature and dry atmosphere. |
