PURPOSE:To improve the irregularity of the coloring density of a multicolor heat- sensitive recording material by providing a color erasing agent and a binder in a coloring layer between two coloring layers formed on a support. CONSTITUTION:Two heat-sensitive coloring layers coloring at different temperature and color tone are coated sequentially on a support. The upper layer contains colorless or pale leuco dye and phenol or acidic substance in the coloring component of the multicolor heat-sensitive recording material. There are provided a color erasing layer which mainly contains a color erasing agent having color erasing effect for the colored component of the upper heat-sensitive coloring layer and a binder containing water soluble organic high molecular compound exhibiting different ionic property from a binder used in the upper heat-sensitive coloring layer between the two heat- sensitive coloring layers. The cationic water soluble resin may preferably be resin containing quaternary nitrogen atom in polymer. The anionic water soluble resin may preferably be sodium alginate, cellulose derivatives, etc. |
