<p>Langbeinite (2MgSO4?K2SO4) is reacted with diammonium phosphate(NH4)2HPO4 to yield a dry (solid) farm field fertilizer of grade 21-12-7 + 1.22 Mg. The chemical process also provides for a solid or dry farm field "double cropping" fertilizer. The cost of liquid and granular fertilizers containing substantial amounts of magnesium has been reduced to where they are competitive with commercial N-P -K fertilizers that do have this feature. These fertilizers contain magnesium in the presence of phosphorus. The micro-nutrients Zn, Cu , Fe ,Mn , and B may be added in rates proportional to deficiency shown by field tests.</p> |
