发明名称 CONTROLLING METHOD FOR SLAGGMAKING IN MOLTEN METAL VESSEL
摘要 PURPOSE:To reutilize the residual slag so as to reduce the cost and to improve the productivity, by, in charging slag-making agent on the surface of a molten metal bath contained in a molten metal vessel, measuring the quantity of the molten slag remaining in the vessel by a specific, indirect method, and by replenishing the slag- making agent under the initial conditions determined by the measurement described above. CONSTITUTION:Before blowing, the internal shape of a converter is measured by means of an instrument 7, and the results are stored in a memory arithmetic unit 9. After blowing and tapping, the converter 1 contg. residual molten slag in it is made to stand upright, and the molten slag level is measured through an opening made in a hood 6 by means of a molten slag-level-measuring instrument 8, and the results are stored also in the arithmetic unit 9. Then the internal shape of the converter and the molten slag level when the converter stands upright, both which are determined by measuring, are expressed in an absolute co-ordinate by the memory arithmetic unit with, e.g., one point of the furnace throat used as an origin, and the volume of the molten slag is calculated on the basis of the values represented by the co-ordinate. On the other hand, the analyzed values of the residual molten slag components are transmitted together with the volume of the residual molten slag obtained by the arithmetic unit 9 to a converter-process computer 10, whereby the specific gravity and the weight of the molten slag is calculated. The slag making agent is replenished using the residual molten slag quantity thus obtained as the initial conditions.
