Incandescent lamps according to the invention have hollow cylindrical filaments which are constructed from transversal strips each traversing at least for the greater part the circumference of the cylinder at a distance from each other and of longitudinal strips which connect the transversal strips together. The strips constitute electrically parallel current paths. As compared with known filaments, those according to the invention have numerous advantages: a great resistance to deformation, a low sensitivity for evolving hot spots, a low weight and a large compactness.
|
