The present invention relates to a timber corner construction. When building a house with round-turned logs, it is necessary to anchor these to the framework of the house, something which is complicated by the curved surface of the logs. In other respects, too, building a house with logs is extremely complicated and calls for a high level of craftsmanship. The object of the present invention is to produce a log element which, in the mounted state, corresponds fully in appearance to a complete round log, including as regards the actual corner construction. This is enabled by the fact that the element, in the region of at least its one end, has a section 4 of circular basic cross section, and in an inner-lying section 3, has a semi-circular basic cross section. The transition between these two sections is constituted firstly by an arched recess 6a and secondly by a plane surface 6b, which latter has a 1/4- circular basic cross section and an extent at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the element. <IMAGE> |
