PURPOSE:To simplify recording on a medium with an easy-to-magnetize axis on its film surface by setting a main magnetic pole made of a magnetic thin film close to an auxiliary magnetic pole made of magnetic material provided with exciting winding and also by giving a specific gradient to the normal of the film surface of a magnetic recording medium running close to the terminal part of main magnetic force. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary magnetic pole 7' is provided with exciting winding 6 at its ferrite. Main magnetic pole 8, made of a Permalloy thin film, is held by glass 11 and arranged at an angle of 0-90 deg. to the normal of the film surface of magnetic recording medium 10 so that the terminal part of magnetic pole 8 close to medium 10 and the opposite terminal part will face in run direction C of magnetic recording medium 10. Thus, signals are sufficiently recorded on a magnetic recording medium such as an alloy powder tape, etc., of high coercive force with an easy-to-magnetize axis on the film surface of medium 10. |
