PURPOSE:To economically and efficiently excite a laser substance with less number of lamps by using excitation lamps having longer length than the laser substance to be excited and irradiating the light emitted from the lamps effectively to the laser substance. CONSTITUTION:A short laser substance 1 and a long excitation lamp 2 are provided in parallel, and coated with a reflecting mirror 3 which is so formed as to irradiate the light emitted from the lamp 2 to all the substance 1 on the inner reflecting surface and to collect the light emitted from the lamp 2 at the portion longer than the substance 1 to the substance 1 on the inner reflecting surface. In this configuration, the light emitted from the lamp 2 is reflected on the reflecting mirror 3 to excite the substance 1 shorter than the lamp 2. Resonant mirrors 6, 7 are installed on the extended line from the end surfaces of the substance 1 to produce laser lights. |
