PURPOSE:To prevent early deterioration of positive electrode by covering the reaction face of porous positive electrode applied with water-proof treatment with solid state electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:Zinc negative electrode 2 is molded by adding binder such as ethyl- cellulose into zinc powder, and located at the outside of anode 1 composed of porous active carbon applied with water-proof treatment. Said anode 1 and zinc negative electrode 2 are placed in battery case 3. Solid state electrolytes 4a, 4b containing caustic potash of density of approx. 85% are arranged respectively between positive electrode 1 and zinc negative electrode 2 and covering the reaction face 1a of positive electrode1. Consequently some amount of electrolyte 4b is dissolved by injecting water untill positive electrode reaction face 1a is exposed thereby alkali density in injected water can be improved. As a result, early deterioration of positive electrode 1 can be prevented. |
