<p>The line protection switch has a contact arrangement forming an extinguishing loop. The fixed contact is formed by an arc guide rail on the magnetic return piece of the magnetic release coil. An extra loop is formed by that part (1b) of the magnetic release coil (1) running parallel to the contact region of the arc guide rail (3). Since the extra loop is formed by part of the release coil itself and is located in the space occupied by the arc guide rail, the switch may be relatively flat and compact.</p> |
