Turbulator for heat exchanger tube. The turbulator is accommodated inside the tube for enhancing heat transfer between a liquid flowing through the tube and the inner wall thereof. The turbulator is a profiled or contoured metal strip, with longitudinal fold lines defining margins. At least one end of the strip is flattened and widened so that its width is greater than the inner diameter of the tube to prevent its entrainment therein. Preferably, a lateral stiffening rib extends partway or entirely across the flattened and widened end for preventing the buckling or bending of the strip end about its center line. Such a turbulator is particularly suited for automobile radiators.
