<p>PURPOSE:To prevent damage of dust boots by forming a clearance directing to the center of a disc at the end part of a back metal which makes contact with a piston, when a caliper located in the pad-exchanging position is brought to its empolyment position. CONSTITUTION:On bringing a caliper 1 located in the pad-exchanging position to its employment position by displacing the same in the direction within the radius of a dust boots 14, near to a torque-member 5, around one guide pin 3, a clearance 16 is formed in the part in contact with a piston 12 of the back metal 17 of a pad 7 positioned on the side of the piston 12 of a disc 15. The clearance 16 is a curved notch, whose radius is desired to be about the same as that of the circular arc formed by the outer peripheral surface of the dust boots 14 when the boots 14 are pressed to the piston 12.</p> |
