<p>A rigid 'J' shaped pipe (1) accepts the hose (2) end, providing a handle, and accommodating the valve fitting with a discharge funnel (7). An enlarged end (1d) receives a ball-housing (3), thus, forming a chamber for the ball return spring (6). The housing (3) spigots into the end (1d), and provides a seat (3a) for the ball at closure, and accepts the inboard funnel end. Funnel cross braces (11) have holes for a slidable plunger rod (10) with enlarged flat ends (10a). The valve is opened by pressing the end (10a) onto the floor of e.g. a food trough, the rod (10) retracting axially into the funnel (7) to lift the ball (5) off its seat (3a).</p> |
