<p>Horticultural or agricultural hand tool is for harvesting nuts and small hard fruits from ground level without having to bend down. The tool comprises a horizontal, cylindrical, wire cage made up of a single wire held in spiral formation by an angle iron frame. The frame is pivoted on its central axis in a yoke with handle. Wire is steel piano wire of 3 mm dia. and the spacings between adjacent coils is about 20-22 mm. Nuts pop in between coils which close behind them. Soft skin and husks are peeled off as the prod. passes between coils.</p> |
