Coloured signalling light for vehicle - has perforated mask with cooling fins acting as heat sink for incandescent lamp

The signalling light has a transparent colourless outer window and a coloured filter between the incandescent lamp and the outer window. A perforated mask is located between the outer window and the filter. The mask is opaque. The mask (6) is a good thermal conductor and has cooling fins (14) having the largest possible area and pointing radially inwards towards the lamp. These fins project through the colour filter (4) towards the region occupied by the lamp (1). The mask is fabricated by pressure moulding. The reflector around the lamp may also be fabricated in one piece with the mask. The cooling fins remove heat efficiently from the space around the lamp.
