<p>The telephone set has a microphone earpiece unit and a base portion with number selecting dial or panel. The microphone-earpiece unit is slightly curved downwards from a point near its centre thus defining 2 halves at the end of the 1st of which there is a space for a microphone, and in the 2nd there is space for a speaker. The 1st portion has an aperture whose sidewalls connect the microphone space with the curved section. The base supports the entire microphone listening unit and has an inclined part from which the number-section dial or panel protrudes. When the microphone earpiece unit is placed upon the base then the dial or panel can be easily operated through the opening in the microphone listening unit. The microphone earpiece unit features 2 half-casings incorporating a hollow seal of silicone resin.</p> |
