Runway for cables comprising E-shaped duct - with long flexible outer arms which fold inwards to form two closed parallel channels

The runway consists of an E-shaped duct whose outer arms are extended to form flexible covers that fold inwards and engage the centre arm so that two parallel enclosed channels are produced. The centre arm has a slot along its end edge to form two flaps. Each fla p has a lip projecting inwards along it. The end edges of the extended outer arms have hooks each of wh ich cooperates with one of the hooked flaps. The thickness of the outer arms is reduced at a point roughly halfway along them between the spine of the E (i.e. the bottom of the duct) and the ends of the arms in order to produce a flexbile region that allows the arms to be bent inwards.
