The spectacle frame can be produced in two parts, front (9) and rear (11), and bonded together using a suitable adhesive. In this case, a recess (10, 12) is moulded into each half-frame, these being in alignment when placed together. The decoration (7) is inserted into the recesses and the two halves are bonded. Alternatively, the decoration can be moulded integral with the body of the frame when this is being made. If the frame has a one-pieace solid body, the recess can be provided on one side only and plugged after inserting the decoration.
