The fork is made of plastic and has two tapered prominences (4) intended to cooperate alternately with the teeth of a Roskopf type escapement wheel (10). These prominences are buttressed at their rear, throughout their height, by a segment (13) of synthetic material. In order to exhibit Roskopf escapement characteristics, the width of the prominences (4) does not exceed the diameter of the pins (4a) of a pin lever according to watch-making standardisation. A veil (15) reinforces the active parts (12) of the prominences. This escapement fork serves to produce clockwork escapements which are both advantageous and accurate. <IMAGE>
