<p>The cleaning device subjects the pen to longitudinal 1.f. vibrations generated by a link rod (3) coupled at one end to a cam (2) driven by an electromotor (1) and at the other to a linearly moving piston (4) with a holder (5) at its opposite end to hold the pen. Instead of a rotating motor and link rod, the longitudinal vibration may be produced by pulsed electro magnets acting on an armature fixed to one end of the piston. The pen may have an external thread to allow it to be screwed into a corresp. thread in the holder. Several such vibrators may be combined into a single desk-top unit.</p> |
