Baseline regenerator for high-rate PCM signals - has differential amplifier combining amplified input signal with averager output

The baseline regenerator has an ac-coupled input amplifier (V1) and a differential output amplifier (V3). The output amplifier adds the input amplifier's output to the output of an averager. The latter consists of two amplitude detectors (D1, C1, R1/D2, CR, R2) detecting positive and negative amplitudes respectively and coupled at their inputs to the output of the input amplifier. The outputs of the two detectors are combined by a narrow-band amplifier with gain 1/2. The differential amplifier has limiting characteristics. The input and output impedances of the regenerator are of average magnitude. Time constant have no adverse effects.
