Continuous monitoring of an individual's heart beat frequency using ECG signals collecte by sensors in contact with the chst are transmitted without wires to a detector mounted on the wrist. Two sensos n2) are connected to a transmitter (1) secured to the chest. The signals are frequency modulated and use the transmission path provided by the arm to which the wrist mounted detector is secured together with the ground potential. An alternative version uses an identicla transmitter-receiver arrangement with the interconnecting path provided by both arms and the body.
