The ignition circuit has a control transistor (15) turning on to close a transistor switch (7) in series with the ignition coil's (6) primary winding (5). The transistor switch is opened when the control transistor turns off. Two capacitors (16, 37) produce a voltage pulse when the control transistor passes from conducting to non-conducting state. The voltage pulses are dependent on the speed of the engine. Below a given min. speed the voltage pulse is used to switch over an additional transistor (33) into the conducting state temporarily. This transistor is located in a shunt path (34) associated with the control transistor. The ignition time point during starting the engine approaches the upper dead point so that starting is realiable.
|
