<p>A rapid fitting grip aid (3) for a tyre has a contoured belt which is fitted around the deflated tyre and held in place by inflating the tyre. The belt has coarse outer grips (4), and side tabs for added security. The fitting requires no special tools, other than access to a pump. The side tabs can be linked so that they are under tension when the tyre is inflated. The body of the belt is made of fibre reinforced elastic material and does not damage the road surface or the tyre tread.</p> |
